Food is amazing, especially seafood dishes. Also friendly waiter. But the environment is very crowded.
2025 June updated: So fresh! The seafood in the tofu hotpot is really fresh — the scallops are very sweet. The shrimp have been butterflied and deveined, very clean. The squid pieces are large, and the fish is definitely fresh. The stir-fried beef is incredibly tender with great wok hei, and it includes fresh Chinese yam and garlic scapes — feels like they’re homegrown by the restaurant. The Chinese broccoli (gai lan) is also super fresh — you can tell just by the vibrant color. And lastly they gave us some complimentary Lo Mai Ci — haha! Pretty good—very generous portions. The tomato beef rice felt like it had the amount of 2–3 bowls of rice. The congee also came in a large serving, with plenty of fish, prawns, and chicken—not stingy at all. They even included you tiao. There was lettuce in the congee too—very healthy. The Cantonese-speaking uncle was really nice and hospitable. The two Mandarin-speaking ladies were a bit irritable… but maybe they were just too busy. The lunch is really good value—definitely worth coming back often.
Food is really good, must try their roast goose and seafood tofu pot. Food portion is big. Had their lobster noodles and sweet sour pork too, good to go with large group so that you can try more dishes. Better to make reservation to avoid disappointment
Big shout out to this hidden gem in Riverwood. Easy to reach by train. They offer authentic Cantonese cousins with a range of tasty specials. Highly recommend their soup (preorder needed) and seafood. Reasonable price with good service.
An oldie AND a GOODIE!!! Fair size portions AND good quality authentic Cantonese cuisine. Remembered being reminded that “we don’t serve Honey Prawns, we are a (true) Chinese Restaurant”. Our go-to-place
